Cornerstone Healthcare Group's acquisition with ScionHealth is complete

ScionHealth disclosed that it had acquired Cornerstone Healthcare Group ("Cornerstone"). The incorporation of Cornerstone's skilled staff and diverse portfolio of top-notch post-acute care facilities strengthens ScionHealth's position as a preeminent healthcare delivery network across 28 states and is a crucial step in carrying out the company's strategic plan for expansion and innovation.

In order to provide access to high-quality treatment, foster innovation, and enhance the patient experience, the acquisition expands ScionHealth's network to include 15 specialty hospitals, eight senior living facilities, and over 3,000 outstanding staff. The acquisition broadens ScionHealth's national network of specialized, community, and medical practices, enabling it to provide vital healthcare services in regional towns across the country.

Through the acquisition of Cornerstone, ScionHealth has expanded, highlighting its growth strategy and commitment to fostering outstanding patient and employee experiences in nearby hospitals. Immediately after the deal with Cornerstone closed, Lifepoint Health successfully acquired the Tucson, Arizona-based Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado from ScionHealth.
