Infosys joins the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program to deliver solutions for smart cities

On 10 March 2020, Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, revealed that it had joined the Qualcomm ® Smart Cities Accelerator Program to deliver end-to-end solutions for smart stadiums, smart venues and smart event management. This initiative is designed to link towns, communities, government agencies, and companies with the ecosystem of Qualcomm Technology to help deliver greater efficiencies, cost savings, and broad access to solutions for the challenges of today's smart cities.

Utilizing cutting-edge networking and computing technologies from Infosys ' Qualcomm Technologies and Smart Spaces solution, stadium and venue managers will re-imagine physical spaces by enabling next-generation fan experience, enhanced energy efficiencies, increased productivity for people and differentiated user experience through seamless networking. Infosys ' global network of innovation centers, expertise design, and experience in developing connected ecosystems will unlock energy and resource savings by facilitating energy and water consumption reductions per capita, effective recycling, and renewable energy usage.

These Smart Space solutions build on Infosys ' proprietary SCALE architecture for smart spaces (Sustainable-Connected-Affordable-Livable-Experiential). SCALE provides a rich range of building and property management technologies, physical resources protection, and the health and security of occupants. For personal comfort, health, communication, and convenience, it uses emerging technology to provide an improved user experience. Integrated with a command center, it offers actionable information to leverage capital for easy maintenance and increased efficiencies. By leveraging SCALE, construction managers will achieve substantial space usage, energy, and water consumption savings, net carbon footprint reduction, and improved user experience.
