Accenture Acquires Yesler, Boosting its B2B Marketing Services

On 2nd April, Accenture acquired Yesler, a business-to-business (B2B) marketing services agency that assists many of the world’s leading brands to run their comprehensive marketing programs and operations at speed and scale. The terms and transactions of this deal were not revealed.

The acquisition extends to strengthen and scale Accenture’s B2B marketing assistance, adding depth in contributions such as account-based marketing, sales enablement, customer advocacy, and marketing automation. With more than 400 people worldwide, Yesler is headquartered in Seattle and has further offices in Portland, London, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Singapore.

According to Manish Sharma, group chief executive for Accenture Operations, Yesler’s expertise in B2B has provided them a good understanding of how businesses make buying decisions, insights that empower marketers to guide purchasing decisions at critical stages, empowering them to achieve growth and adjust their operating models for continued success. Accenture is excited to have them join the team.

According to Brian Whipple, group chief executive for Accenture Interactive, B2B marketing has become exceptionally complex and, at the same time, customers demand the same Amazon-like interactions they experience as consumers. B2B marketers are attempting to leverage best practices from B2C while also addressing the specific needs of B2B. The extension of Yesler allows us to enhance the complete set of B2B services we give our clients from strategy and creative to implementation and ongoing management.

Founded in 2004, Yesler has gained a reputation for its exclusive focus on the B2B market. Yesler is composed of two business segments that are Yesler B2B, which gives full-service digital marketing and managed services and Project line services, which gives strategic resourcing solutions.

Mike Kichline, chief executive officer of Yesler, added that Accenture allows Yesler with a global scale along with skills and values that complement our own. Together, our abilities provide a differentiated, data-driven approach that businesses can use to position themselves strategically and deliver on the goal of sustainable growth.
