Bluebird Network Acquires Illinois Network Alliance LLC

Bluebird Network LLC, a Midwest telecommunications organization, announced the completion of its acquisition of the Illinois Network Alliance (INA), to become the Alliance’s sole proprietor. This acquisition empowers Bluebird to extend its network footprint in Illinois and increase its fiber services and high-bandwidth network solutions for hospitals, schools, cell towers, government facilities, and other markets throughout the Midwest. Bluebird continues to be committed to delivering excellent customer service while increasing its footprint through this acquisition and following fiber build-outs.

According to Michael Morey, President, and CEO of Bluebird Network, Bluebird is keen to grow the INA’s state-of-the-art fiber-optic network, giving high-bandwidth, carrier-class Internet and data center services across the Midwest. Underscoring Bluebird Network place as a leading fiber provider in the Midwest, Bluebird Network looks forward to expanding customer offerings and supporting them with a personalized level of service. The Bluebird Network, including the INA network and the Bluebird Underground Data Center, continues in service to actively support the needs of our customers during this time of international crisis.

Bluebird helps Carrier, Enterprise, and Data Center customers with a collection of network services. This covers secure and reliable bandwidth, Metro Ethernet, Dedicated Internet Access, Wide Area Network Ethernet, Ethernet Virtual Private LAN (E-LAN and EVPL), E-Line, and Mobile Backhaul Transport services. Bluebird’s fiber-optic infrastructure joins to the Bluebird Underground Data Center, an underground colocation facility positioned in Springfield, Missouri.

Since 1999, Bluebird Network, headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, has provided internet and transport services, via its fiber infrastructure, to Carriers and Enterprises in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and the surrounding states. In 2014, an underground data center was procured, adding the Bluebird Underground Data Center facility to the Bluebird suite of services. Bluebird now has over 9800 fiber route miles of high-speed broadband and fiber-optic connections with over 50,000 on-net and near-net buildings, 151 Points of Presence (POP) sites spanning the Midwest, including the major cities of Chicago, St. Louis, Peoria, Rockford, Kansas City, Springfield (MO and IL), Tulsa, Bloomington, Normal and the Quad Cities.
