Covax Signs Deal for 500 Million Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

The COVID-19 pandemic has destructed many life and properties worldwide, but the good news is not behind. Covax has signed a deal on Monday to buy 500 million Moderna Covid-19 vaccine doses. Covax is the global vaccine equity program. The Moderna doses are likely to be supplied to Covax in the late this year. Around 34 million doses are expected to supply in the 4th quarter of this year and the rest in 2022.

Covax is the scheme which is launched by the World Health Organization. The motto of this scheme is to ensure that vaccine is supplied to all the poor territories of the world. By the end of the year, the plan intends to provide enough vaccine doses to vaccinate up to 27% of the population in the 92 poorest territories participating in the initiative. Covax has so far shipped more than 49 million Covid-19 vaccines globally
