Max Healthcare inks pact with Georgia’s Evex Hospitals to setup Bone Marrow Transplant programme

Max Healthcare (MHC) entered into an agreement with Georgia’s largest healthcare provider Evex Hospitals to set up Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program at two of its hospitals in Tbilisi, Georgia.  The agreement involves setting up of a fully operational adult BMT program at the Caucasian Medical Center (CMC) in Tbilisi and a pediatric BMT program at Lashvili Children's Central Hospital. The plan will be executed over the next 18 months. During this time, MHC will work closely with the Evex team. MHC will assist Evex in designing the facilities required for hospitals, preparing clinical protocols for BMT, planning equipment plans in associated blood banks and highly specialized laboratories, and procuring drugs necessary to perform bone marrow transplants. From January 2023, a team of doctors, nurses and technicians will conduct practical training for 3 to 6 months.

Through the proposed partnership, both companies will provide quality medical services to patients throughout the Central Asian region. The hospital group claims the program will be of great benefit to both Georgian citizens and those from neighboring countries to access his BMT services in Tbilisi.
