Mount Franklin Foods acquires assets of Arro Corporation divisions
US-based Mount Franklin Foods has acquired ARRO Corporation's food processing and ingredients divisions through its affiliate
As part of its expansion plan, Mount Franklin Foods, a producer of confectionery and nut products, has acquired the food processing and ingredient divisions of Arro Corporation. The acquisition made on 17 March 2020 shall be effective immediately, for an undisclosed amount. Mount Franklin Foods, LLC, is a leading North American producer of high-quality confections, mints, plant-based culinary proteins, nut products, bake mixes, powdered beverages, and ingredients headquartered in El Paso, Texas.
The new company is now entitled to Element Food Solutions and will act as an independent business entity under the parent organization of Mount Franklin Foods. The contract, made through an affiliate of Mount Franklin Foods, comprises all of the properties of Arro's food processing division and Arro's ingredients division, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
Arro Food Processing specializes in the development of product and packaging solutions for bake mixing, powdered beverage, ingredients, and cereals, trail mix, nut categories. Additionally, Arro Ingredients runs a specialized facility for the blend and processing of bulk ingredients and offers large format handling and storage solutions for a wide variety of food and food ingredient companies.
Eloy Vallina, Chairman of Mount Franklin Food, said that the company is excited to bring the demonstrated leadership and proven ability of Mount Franklin Foods to expand and improve products and brands into an even broader foodservice industry segment. By introducing the synergistic Element Food Solutions to the Mount Franklin portfolio, will not only be expanding the products but will also be able to serve more consumers in more categories and help them turn production challenges into successes.
Under brands including Azar Nut, Sunrise Confections, and Hospitality Mints, Mount Franklin Foods serves the retail and foodservice industries producing a range of confectionery and nut products like gummies, jellies, mints, fruit snacks, nut and snack mix. Mount Franklin Foods has a large private label and co-manufacturing business supporting brands and retailers across the country.
Enrique Grajeda, President, and CEO, Mount Franklin Foods, also informed that this acquisition and development of Element Food Solutions supports the strategic growth of the company. The improved capabilities of this new business unit will enable the company to help further the customers to develop innovative products for increasing categories such as protein powders and better baking ingredients.
Element Food Solutions will carry on to operate out of the former ARRO locations in Chicago and Hodgkins.
