Wipro, Plexis Healthcare Systems ink regional strategic alliance accelerating the digital transformation for healthcare payers
The collaboration will focus on supporting Medicare and Managed Medicaid programs but grow to support the Accountable Care Act and the business lines
Wipro Limited, a global leader in information technology, consulting, and business process services, announced on 13 March 2020, its strategic global alliance with PLEXIS Healthcare Systems.
The collaboration would allow for a simplified, effective, accurate, and integrated program administration solution to benefit healthcare payers and sponsors of plans around the world. The aim is to deliver safe, compliant, high-value, end-to-end "digital-first" plan management solutions at a cost-effective price point, along with enhanced customer experience. Initially, the collaboration will concentrate on promoting Medicare and Controlled Medicaid services but will broaden to support the Accountable Care Act and business lines.
At its heart, Wipro's Medicare solutions will merge healthcare payer claims with care management systems from PLEXIS to provide a state-of-the-art backbone technology. This will allow Wipro to provide world-class Business Process as-a-Service (BPaaS) to manage the entire value chain efficiently and effectively. In addition, it includes enrollment processing with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) member billing, delivery, care management, claim processing, and experience data processing to CMS.
The Wipro-Plexis partnership will include Medicare and Medicaid programs, a CMS-compliant, simple, and affordable turnkey choice with a focus on patient satisfaction, better service quality, data sharing, and reduced administrative costs.
