Aster DM Healthcare inks pact with Faruk Medical City to develop healthcare services in Iraq

Aster DM Healthcare entered into an agreement with Iraq's Faruk Medical City to develop healthcare services in the country. The company has signed an agreement with Faruk Medical City to collaborate on skills development and academic and professional training programs for clinical staff and medical professionals in Iraq. As part of the partnership, Aster DM Healthcare physicians will visit facilities in Faruk Medical City to consult and provide surgical services not available locally and encourage patients to travel abroad for treatment.

The move aims to co-develop Faruk Medical City as a hospital of excellence by offering advanced academic education and skills development along with international standards for delivering world-class clinical and medical services in Iraq. Aster will also play an advisory role in guiding Faruk Medical City's application for international accreditation. Faruk Investment Group and Aster DM Healthcare have also signed a memorandum of understanding to explore potential cooperation opportunities to expand Aster Pharmacy's services, including the distribution and retail of pharmaceuticals and health products, to Iraq.
