CPLANE.ai, ExxonMobil declares Joint Industrial Orchestration Program

On 15h June 2020, CPLANE.ai declared that it has been working with ExxonMobil to expedite the production of digital network orchestration for industrial automation systems. Increasing global competition and cybersecurity threats push process industries to develop Open Process Automation (OPA) systems with the best-in - class modules, streamlined management and enhanced cybersecurity. Orchestration of digital infrastructure is a vital component of such new, open systems.

"CPLANE.ai's technology will help ExxonMobil advance our R&D initiative to define a standard, transparent, stable, and interoperable architecture for process automation. Through this partnership, we will acquire significant data about how to safely and efficiently handle digital technology in a multi-vendor process control environment, "says Don Bartusiak, Chief Process Control Engineer at ExxonMobil Research and Technology.

Digital infrastructure orchestration automates the provisioning, tracking, recovery of failures and development of OPA systems while ensuring continuous operations and cybersecurity based on network. Steve Bitar, ExxonMobil Research and Engineering 's automation leader, says "moving forward, digital infrastructure orchestration automation will enable us to implement new technologies much faster and far greater in scale."

CPLANE.ai has developed a Digital Infrastructure Test Bed for the development , rapid implementation and testing of orchestral concepts for OPA systems to advance the understanding of digital infrastructure orchestration. This project will utilize the expertise of ExxonMobil from internal demonstration OPA systems and the validated orchestration platform of CPLANE.ai, which is being expanded to address the specific needs of industrial customers, to promote this accelerated learning practice. The benefits of this project will apply to process industries around the world by contributing to the open standards being established by the Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF) of the Open Community.
