Lucknow has been added to Akasa Air's network as the eleventh destination, marking the airline's debut in Uttar Pradesh. Starting on December 25, 2022, the airline will operate daily flights on the Lucknow-Bengaluru and Lucknow-Mumbai routes. As of December 29, 2022, the airline will introduce a third daily frequency service on the route between Bengaluru and Kochi, improving connectivity between the two cities. The airline will now run 26 daily flights from Bengaluru as a result of this move.

Akasa Air's co-founder and chief commercial officer expressed his company's happiness at adding Lucknow as its eleventh destination. "Akasa Air is extending its efforts to promote the country's economy by enhancing its essential transportation links by connecting this state capital with the key centres of Mumbai and Bengaluru,". In response to the high demand for flights linking the two cities, he continued, the airline is expanding its presence on the Bengaluru-Kochi route by introducing an evening frequency. Since its launch in August, Akasa Air has been growing its operations. By the end of the year, it hopes to be running over 500 flights per week on sixteen different routes throughout eleven different cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, and Lucknow.

The airline intends to utilize a fleet expansion strategy that entails adding one new aircraft every 15 days in order to increase its network and establish a strong presence across India, with a focus on connecting routes from metro areas to tier 2 and tier 3 cities. By the end of March 2023, Akasa Air expects to have 18 aircraft in its fleet, and over the next four years, it will add another 54, bringing the total number of aircraft in its fleet to 72.
