Paytm Launches Digital Locker for Storing Health Documents

One97 Communications Limited (OCL), which owns the Paytm brand, a payments and financial services company, announced the launch of Paytm ABHA Health Locker, that allows users to store their health documents. According to the company, Paytm Health Locker allows users to share all their medical documents directly with medical facilities.

As part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, ABHA Health Locker is a certified public health records app. Users can access Paytm ABHA Health Locker when they create an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) in the app. ABHA is a unique health number provided to all citizens to access medical services and personal medical records. Once an ABHA is created, it generates a QR code that can be scanned by hospitals and clinics to instantly share the user's medical history in an emergency. Additionally, ABHA Health Locker allows users to use her QR code to make appointments at specific hospitals, thus skipping long lines. Approved by the National Health Authority, Paytm Health Locker's data is built with robust security and encryption mechanisms to ensure privacy for all users.
