Mercedes-Benz, the German carmaker, unveiled Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe facelift has been launched in India, priced for the 300 petrol variant at Rs. 62.70 Lakh while the 300d diesel model has been priced at Rs. 63.70 lakh (all ex-showroom costs, India).  It is the standard iteration of the AMG GLC 43 that is already on sale in India, but the variant introduced in India is the facelifted version of the coupe-SUV, as seen at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show prior year. However, this isn't Mercedes-Benz's first coupe SUV in India.

The GLC Coupe from Mercedes-Benz comes with a pair of 2.0-liter diesel and petrol engines. While the petrol unit produces 254 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, the diesel unit delivers 242 bhp and peak torque of 500 Nm. The tried and tested 9G-Tronic automatic transmission is likely to take care of transmission duties as a regular fitment, and Mercedes also offers its standard 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system together with five driving modes.

The facelifted GLC Coupe comes with revised Multibeam LED headlamps and tail lamps, new 19-inch alloy wheels, a redesigned front grille, and slightly modified bumpers in terms of modifications. The facelifted GLC Coupe highlights Mercedes Me Connect and MBUX digital assistant tech. It also has a drive mode selector that lets you choose from five different modes: Eco, Comfort, Individual, Sport, and Sport+. The revised GLC Coupe also comes with 64 color options for ambient lighting and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. The new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is one thing that sets the interior apart from the regular GLC, as seen on other Mercedes-Benz models. Safety features onboard the facelifted GLC Coupe incorporate up to parking assist, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera.

The SUV is offered with BS6-compliant diesel and petrol engines under the hood. The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol unit produces 258PS of power and 370Nm of torque while the 2.0-liter diesel engine generates 245PS and 500Nm of power. All engines have copulated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox for transmission. The GLC Coupe comes standard on both versions with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain. Unfortunately, the country no longer has the AMG variant powered by a 3.0-liter V6 bi-turbo petrol engine.
