Rockwell Automation Has acquired ASEM, S.p. A, Extending the Company's Control & Visualization Offering and Kalypso, LP, Expanding its Expertise in Connected Enterprise Consulting

Rockwell Automation Inc. announces on May 04 2020 that it has completed the acquisition of ASEM, S.p. A., a leading Italian-based provider of digital automation technologies, and completed the acquisition of Kalypso, LP, based in U.S.

ASEM provides a complete range of Industrial PCs (IPCs), Human-Machine Interface (HMI) hardware and software, remote access capabilities and secure Industrial IoT gateway solutions.

This acquisition will further enhance the portfolio of Control & Visualization hardware and software within our Architecture & Software business segment. ASEM is primarily a supplier of large opportunities for European machine builders on the North American market. ASEM 's products provide customers with a high degree of configurability for their industrial computing needs, enable them to achieve faster time on the market, reduce ownership costs , improve the utilization of assets and better manage company risk.

In February 2020 Rockwell announced its intention to acquire ASEM. Transaction terms were not disclosed.

Kalypso is a software delivery and consulting firm specialized in the digital evolution of industrial enterprises with a strong customer base in life sciences, consumer products and high-tech industry.

Kalypso offers a complete suite of consulting, digital innovation, enterprise technology and business process management services that enable product design and development transformation, production management and customer service models.

Rockwell Automation is best placed for bringing together information technology (IT) and plant floor technology (OT). This acquisition within our business segment of Control Products & Solutions will combine the convergence of plant-level and enterprise networks with the capabilities of Kalypso, further enhancing the ability of the company to implement and deploy technology and offering even greater value to its customers.
