Reliance Retail 2nd fastest growing retailer behind Walmart: Deloitte
Reliance Retail is the only Indian Retailer in the global list of 250 retailers. It presents consecutively for the 4th time in the list of Global Powers of Retailing and World's Fastest Retailers
As per Deloitte ranking of global retail power houses, Reliance Retail Ltd. has been ranked 2nd fastest growing retail outlet in the world 2021. Walmart Inc. still held the 1st rank while Amazon.com Inc secured 2nd rank. Costco Wholesale Corporation of US slipped by a rank and placed at 3rd followed by Schwarz Group of Germany. The top 10 has seven US retailers and one UK (Tesco PLC held 10th position). Other US retailers in the top 10 include The Kroger Co (held 5th position), Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc (6th position) and CVS Health Corporation (held 9th position). Germany's Aldi Einkauf GmbH & Co. oHG and Aldi International Services GmbH & Co. oHG are placed at 8th rank.

According to a statement by Deloitte, Reliance Retail from last year's fastest 50 leaders has dropped to 2nd place. The company recorded year on year growth of 41.8 %, driven majorly by a 13.1 % increase in the number of stores in its consumer electronics, fashion and lifestyle and grocery retail chains, to 11,784 stores across 7,000+ towns and cities in India at fiscal year-end (FY20).
